- Provide reference and research on topics related to Florence History
- Archive historical materials and collections on the basis of enduring historical and cultural value
- Preserve, digitize, and manage collection to make content accessible
- Retain, store and/or dispose of archived content as applicable
- Maintain databases such as obituary database and local newspaper accession lists
- Maintain book collection related to history of Florence and Fremont County
- Provide locally published historical materials for sale
- Conduct tours of Florence as scheduled
- Content curation for creative programming such as lecture series on railroad history, town founders, and important events
- Creation of art and displays for local organizations
